Duality
I am very inspired by the concept of Yin and Yang, how there is always a touch of darkness in the light, and a touch of light in the dark, and how you cannot have darkness without light.
This painting was partially inspired by “Become the Earth, Become the Moon” it’s sort of an expansion on the concept, and it is again one of 3 paintings in the Become the Moon, Become the Earth Series. This piece was very much a “download” from the universe, or God, or whatever you prefer to call the Great Mystery that a lot of us believe in. I didn’t really feel like I was thinking very deeply about it while I was making it, it felt like it was just being pulled out of me.
There is so much to look at in this painting that you can really get lost in it.
